JOB DESCRIPTION

About Ace
This gem of an experience is located just a 10-minute walk from Central Station. Here the kitchen team creates masterpieces incorporating seasonal delights with a particular emphasis on veggies. With something for everyone starting from the ground floor;

Good Chemistry
Is a breathtaking day-to-night cafe, which yields tasty baked sweet treats and divine savory items to be enjoyed in the beautifully designed space or to grab on the go, before transforming into an intimate bar nightly with small plates and snacks to share.

Loam
Our full-table service restaurant has 65 seats, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week with dishes encouraged to share.  Here the kitchen team creates innovative masterpieces incorporating seasonal delights with a particular emphasis on veggies as ingredients are sourced from independent farmers & producers.

The Lobby
Somewhere anyone can come and immerse themselves in the smooth ambience our DJ provides paired with craft cocktails, snacks and shareable small plates to ensure a great experience.

Brick, Tyne & Clay (Events)
Moving up from the ground floor there are three bespoke private events spaces and private meeting rooms to meet a variety of needs and event styles from conference, banquet & cocktail just to list a few.

In-Room Dining
Finally, as with all great hotels, we provide a variety of exquisite in-room dining options for our guests to enjoy in the comfort of our alluring rooms.

About the Role

Working collaboratively with the Sous Chefs, your role will cover Ace Hotel’s ground floor restaurant, cafe, lobby bar dining, bespoke event areas, and in-room dining. Working a 5 day week on a rotating roster including weekends and nights. At Ace you will get to prepare high-quality recipes before executing a mind-blowing service, using only the best produce. You will be responsible for running sections, ordering and maintaining par levels of ingredients as well as accommodating the dietary needs of guests.

The Perks

Be a part of a venue where you can really make an impact. You’ll be a part of a team where we treat people as individuals, not a corporate number - inclusiveness, community, being original and of course, having fun matters. We like to give back to the community around us so there’ll be plenty of community events and volunteering activities. We offer staff benefits such as food & beverage discounts, and Ace Hotel global friends & family room rates.

Ace Hotel requires its staff to be fully vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated (unless for medical grounds), we respect your choice, however it is a condition of employment.

Ace Hotel acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Traditional Custodians of this land. As one of the oldest living cultures on earth, we celebrate their age-old connections to Country along with the knowledge, determination, patience and generosity of all First Nations people. Past, present and future, this is Aboriginal land.
