JOB DESCRIPTION

Located in Wantirna’s Knox Westfield Ozone precinct, Urban Alley Brewery provides a family-friendly venue with regular entertainment and live music until 3am trading, trivia and a classic pub menu with a modern twist.

As we continue to expand and grow with increased offerings, we are looking for a Duty Manager to join us on that journey.  The Duty Manager position is an exciting opportunity for those looking to take the next step in their career, or take an opportunity to establish themselves in the hospitality industry.

The role includes management of staff, implementing and maintaining standards of service, cleaniness and venue operations, stock control and management, financial reporting and of course, executing the high customer standards to customers in the areas of food, beverage and service.

REQUIREMENTS

A current and valid RSA certificate will be required.

As will high energy, positive attitude and the willingness to learn and adapt.

 

Other requirements are:

  • The ability to work with efficiency and speed whilst maintaining quality
  • Enthusiasm with all tasks and the ability to work with confidence under pressure
  • A willingness to work with the team as well as unsupervised
  • Applicants must be flexible and be available to work a variety of day and weekend shifts
  • A love and strong understanding of Modern Australian Food & Craft Beers
  • Initiative, passion, and the drive to deliver the highest standard of customer service, through lunch & dinner shifts
  • Excellent communication skills for staff, customers, and suppliers
  • Positive, motivated & systematic personality
  • Valid RSA
  • Flexible availability - weekends, days, and nights
  • An unparalleled eye for detail and the ability to uphold and elevate standards
  • The ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively while maintaining a clean environment
  • Expert knowledge in cocktails would be considered highly favourable
  • Can do attitude
  • Be able to deliver excellent customer service
  • Be reliable, flexible and great team player 
  • Experience is not essential as on the job training will be provided for the successful candidates
