JOB DESCRIPTION

Birkdale Gardens Tavern are looking for Duty Managers to join the team. Either F/T, P/T or casual basis. 

We are a cosy little Tavern full of character making us the perfect home away from home for locals and visitors alike so why not come down for a few pints and a game of pool or just sit back and watch your favourite game on the Big screen in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Key criteria:

  • Has a passion for the industry and are committed to a successful career in hospitality
  • Projects a friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude at all times
  • Enjoys working with others in a team environment, whilst leading from the front
  • Possesses exceptional customer service and presentation skills
  • Has both restaurant and extensive bar service experience
  • Thrives under pressure
  • Hands on management of the venue including day to day operations
  • Maintaining and exceeding overall minimum standards
  • Training and development of staff to ensure a consistently amazing customer experience
  • Ensuring policies, procedures and standards are current, effective and clearly communicated

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements:

  • QLD RMLV and Approved Managers Licence ( or willing to gain ) 
  • RSA
  • RSG
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong food, beverage, functions and gaming knowledge
  • Career minded with exceptional leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
