JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sundowner Hotel Motel is on the hunt for an Duty Manager to join the team!

Just off the Bruce Highway on Bribie Island road the Caboolture Sundowner Hotel features a touch of Australiana in the décor with all the leading beers on tap. In addition to this is a great value bistro, a bustling gaming room and 10-room accommodation.

As a Venue Manager, your role will involve:  

  • Running and managing venue operations on a day-to-day basis 

  • Inspiring and leading a multi-skilled team  

  • Generating and reporting on revenue throughout the business  

  • Training, hiring, and inducting new staff into the business  

  • Executing marketing promotions as well as key sessions  

  • Acquire and manage functions, private parties, and bookings  

  • Working with and communicating effectively with all Head Office Departments

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Assistant Manager
Duty Manager
Food & Beverage Manager
Venue Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:  

  • 2+ years of experience in a management hospitality role  
  • Full working rights in Australia and valid RSA, RSG, QLD RMLV and approved managers license preferable, training can be provided
  • Ability to develop and control an effective roster  
  • Stocktaking and ability to investigate stock loss  
  • Order and maintain par levels throughout both beverage and food departments  
  • Provide revenue generating ideas for the business  
  • Troubleshoot and work with IT department to ensure all POS systems, printers, and Ipads, computers are working properly  
  • Proficient computer skills and basic understanding of Microsoft Office
