Coogee Bay Hotel, located opposite Coogee Beach in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is so much more than just a hotel.

This award-winning multifaceted venue includes one of Sydney's biggest gardens, Marra Bar & Grill, contemporary conference space, the iconic live entertainment venue – Selina’s, gaming lounge, sports bar, two accommodation options and two retail liquor outlets.

The Duty Manager is a fast-paced role responsible for ensuring the successful operation of a Licensed Venue, Coogee Bay Hotel.

About the role:

  • Deliver effective communication across the team

  • Drive extraordinary guest experience

  • Lead compliance across License Premises

  • Support venue operations, complete & delegate action items accordingly

  • Contribute & promote to the safety and security of the venue and all stakeholders

  • Assist & monitor employee rosters for all on premise areas meeting ECA and legislative requirements

  • Provide leadership to all staff and ensure compliance across the venue

 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Assistant Manager
Duty Manager
Operations Manager

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About you:

  • Minimum 1 year in a Duty Manager Role

  • Experience in a multifaceted venue

  • Experienced in managing a high pressure, fast-paced, high volume bar

  • Effective communicator who’s able to share their vision with the team

  • Exceptional guest service provider with a genuine passion for the operation

  • Passionate about team building and staff development

  • Holds a current Responsible Service of Alcohol

  • Holds a current Responsible Conduct of Gambling
