Due to expansion and redevelopment of existing venues, we are seeking an duty manager  to join Iris Hotel Group. REQUIREMENTS

The Role

We are looking for the best.  Managers to assist in the operations of our key venues. An individual who recognises the strategic importance of the location and the rewards, both personal & professional, which accompany such a venue in such a prized location.

Reporting into the venue licensee you will lead your team through busy services periods ensuring a high level of customer service at all times. Coming from a strong hospitality background fostered around F&B, gaming, TAB & service your passion for providing a great product in a busy and sometimes pressured environment is always seen in your work. You always push to succeed in anything you attempt and surpassing targets is your passion.

If you are looking for a career defining role and seeking an avenue where you can grow then this is the role for you.

The successful applicant will possess:

A minimum of 2 years previous management experience and strong knowledge in all aspects of running a busy hotel, particularly from a gaming/wagering perspective.
Extensive background in a strong F&B orientated venue with proven results to show same.
Extensive knowledge of TAB and gaming operations and the required service levels to be top of the game, best of the best
A drive and passion to be recognised as the best venue operator in a tightly controlled market.
Current RSA & RCG certificates
A hands on approach to management
A friendly, self motivated personality with excellent people skills
A passion for the hospitality industry with the ability to create a positive and proactive working environment
 

The following attributes are also considered desirable:

A demonstrated understanding of industry related technology systems
An understanding of the inner south west corridor clientele and business drivers
Strong reporting and analysis skills
Proficiency in current F&B trends.

  • A relevant qualification of at least AQF Diploma level or equivalent is preferred (international is accepted).
  • Two years of directly relevant full-time work experience in addition to the qualification mentioned above OR three years of relevant full-time work experience if no qualification is available.
