The Venue
Located in the heart of the breathtaking Scenic Rim, The Commercial Hotel Boonah is a quintessential Aussie pub reimagined. The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to oversee operations across a variety of areas, including the Bistro, Bar, Gaming, Retail, and Accommodation. Once the on-site brewery opens, this role will include a supervisory day in the brewery, offering real variety in your scope.

This is an ideal opportunity for experienced Bar Supervisors looking to take the next step into a generalist management role. You’ll gain exposure to different facets of venue management while developing your leadership skills in a supportive environment.

With full-time hours offered as a casual to start, this role has the opportunity to progress into a full-time contracted position in the new year with a salary of $65,000 – $75,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations across Bistro, Bar, Gaming, Retail + Brewery
• Lead and support the team to ensure exceptional customer experiences
• Manage escalated customer service situations, including de-escalation in gaming/bar environments
• Ensure compliance with RSA, RSG, and licensing regulations
• Collaborate with the Venue Manager to ensure smooth operations and plan for events
• Maintain venue presentation, safety standards, and stock management
   

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Bar Supervisor or similar role in a pub, gaming, or bistro environment.
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Current RSA and RSG (or willingness to obtain)
• Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Interest in gaining experience across multiple venue areas.
