JOB DESCRIPTION

Casual Event Supervisor

At MIRRA, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional Weddings, Corporate and Private Events. We are looking for a dedicated Casual Event Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Event Supervisor will work closely with the management team to oversee the seamless execution of events, ensuring everything from setup to packdown runs smoothly. You will coordinate with event staff, vendors, and clients to meet their needs, provide guidance to team, and address any issues that arise. This role requires a proactive, confident individual.

The Role:

  • Oversee event operations, ensuring that events run according to plan and packdown is seamless
  • Work with event staff, vendors, and clients to ensure all needs and requirements are met
  • Provide direction and support to event staff, ensuring they are supported in their role
  • Oversee food and beverage service and follow event specifications
  • Ensure that all event timelines, schedules, and protocols are followed
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise, making necessary adjustments to ensure a successful outcome
  • Conduct regular inspections throughout the event to maintain high-quality standards and address any potential concerns promptly
  • Ability to read and follow detailed run sheets, chef sheets and floorplans
  • Ability to manage closing, pack-down and cash-up procedures to a high-standard

The right applicant will have:

  • Previous experience in event supervision or hospitality management role is desirable
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with capability to direct staff, vendors and interact with clients
  • Excellent spoken communication skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as events may require
  • Hold a valid RSA
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
