Metropolis Events - Australian Wedding Venue of the Year 2022 & Q Events are currently seeking an experienced & passionate Events Sales Manager, who has a passion to inspire & create memorable experiences in our exclusive event spaces in Melbourne. 

Our philosophy is built around creating memorable dining & entertainment experiences, innovative menus designed using seasonal local produce and a focus on current food trends, impeccable service, & most importantly, delivering exceptional events that exceed client & guest expectations at all times.

The opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Events Sales Manager for Metropolis & Q Events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales process from start to finish, including initial enquiries, site inspections, & contract negotiations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing & implementing sales strategies to increase bookings
  • Responding to enquiries & conducting site inspections of the venue
  • Building & maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients
  • Meeting & exceeding sales targets
  • Providing exceptional customer service to ensure a smooth and seamless planning process for clients
  • Participating in networking & marketing events to promote the venue
  • Coordinate & host site inspections, including follow up with prospective clients, from proposal to contract
  • Co-ordinate trade shows including our internal Open Days & Annual Showcase events

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Experience required:

  • Proven sales experience, preferably within the wedding or events industry
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational & time management skills
  • A passion for the wedding industry & a desire to exceed client expectations
  • A self-motivated & driven approach to work
