JOB DESCRIPTION

The Venue

We are Tanuki! An exciting 160 seat Modern Japanese Restaurant & Bar located in Double Bay, we are a sister venue to the likes of Matteo, Osborn House, Kittyhawk, Lobo and The Island. Tanuki boasts a contemporary izakaya menu with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients and includes an 6-seater sushi counter with a focus on premium sushi and sashimi. Also features an extensive bar program and natural organic leaning wine and sake menu. The venue is open from Wednesday to Sunday and for lunch from Friday to Sunday. 

 

The Role(s)

We are looking for confident and experienced candidates to fill openings in our section waiter and host teams. You will be essential in delivering an exceptional experience to our guests from service to the amazing food and drinks they will be enjoying. 

The job will include day and night shifts, great tips, ongoing product & service related trainings and a fun & positive working environment.

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates will require

  • 2+ years experience in the position you are applying for is essential!
  • Experience with Japanese cuisine and sake is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced dynamic restaurant environment.
  • Team player with good communication, attitude and well presented.
  • Valid RSA
  • Full Australian working rights.
