JOB DESCRIPTION

About the hotel

Situated 25 minutes east of Melbourne CBD, ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley offers 155 rooms, Ibis Kitchen & Bar, and 4 flexible meeting rooms catering from 4 delegates up to 120 delegates. Our hotel is the gateway to the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley Food & Wine District, the Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for those with commitment to providing an extraordinary dining experience for our guests. Key duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Take food & beverage orders and run food & drinks
  • Highly engaged in Dinner service & Events operations
  • Address complaints presented by guest in an efficient and professional
  • Any other duties assigned by the Hotel Manager
  • Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a similiar role 
  • Genuine passion for Food & Beverage
  • A positive can do & customer focused attitude
  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • Availability to work varied shifts including evening (5pm-11pm), weekends and public holidays
