The voco™ hotel Brisbane City Centre & Hotel Indigo® Brisbane City Centre are due to open Q1/Q2 2022 respectively. voco™ hotel Brisbane City Centre will offer 194 guest rooms, 11 meetings rooms, 2 F&B outlets, fitness suite & pool and the arrival of Hotel Indigo ® Brisbane City Centre will offer 212-rooms, feature restaurant & Bar, café, and fitness suite.

The Role 

As a Food and Beverage Attendant (Guest Experience Host - F&B) you will help shape the successful opening of Brisbane's first voco Hotel and Hotel Indigo in creating an exciting, innovative, and memorable hotel experience for all guests whilst working with a well-rounded and highly motivated F&B team. You have a passion for all things hospitality and love making genuine human connections and contributing to awesome guest experiences.

What You'll Do 

• Love & live the brand and be a great ambassador of voco & Indigo hotels
• Greet & seat guests and patrons
• Provide an exceptional food and beverage experience
• Delight guests with your exceptional food & wine knowledge
• When required, create Barista coffee items
• Assist with general bar duties as required
• Action all incidental food & beverage / outlet activities & tasks
• Observe and action up-selling opportunities
• Assist other departments as required (such as Meetings & Events)
• Adhere to all food & general safety & hygiene legislation and procedures
• You’ll respond quickly and attentively to guest requests and needs, ensuring that our guests have a great experience every time

What You Bring  

• Previous Food and Beverage experience in a vibrant & dynamic fast-paced environment
• Experience with Point Of Sale systems - such as Simphony
• High energy with a passion for achieving superior results and providing exceptional guest experiences
• You are detail-oriented and able to effectively multitask
• Professionalism, personable, with a "role up the sleeves", can-do attitude
• You thrive under pressure and are flexible when adapting to new situations
• You make calm, collected decisions – even when the clock is ticking
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Pride in personal presentation and grooming, a spring in your step and a genuine smile
• Possess or obtain a QLD RSA certificate
• You meet the appropriate legal requirements to work in Australia
