JOB DESCRIPTION

VIPeople owned by Spark Event Group are the industry leading supplier of professional and friendly Casual Event Staff to a wide variety of sporting and entertainment venues throughout Australia and we are thrilled to be hiring for the role of F&B Attendant at Cirque Du Soleil.

The Show runs from September 25th – November 10th 2024

Pre- event shifts begin September 16th- September 24th 2024 2024

Weekday Shifts range between the hours of  3pm – 11:30pm

Weekend shifts start time may vary starting 9.30am-10.30pm

Location - Under the Big Top - Next to Royal Queensland Golf Course431 Curtin Ave W, Eagle Farm, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, 4009

To be considered for this opportunity you MUST be available to work 4-5 days a week regularly over the duration of the shows( Show dates- Wednesday to Sunday ) This includes evenings and weekend shifts.

Pay

Monday - Sunday: $32.83 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

REQUIREMENTS

Food and Beverage Associate

Working Hours: 35 – 40 Hours, 5 days per week (Subject to change according to the show schedule)

Primary responsibilities include:

· Works in assigned concession area;

· Serves customers and manages cash registers;

· Prepares and serves food & beverages to customers, as required;

· Services customers and answers their questions accurately and politely;

· Ensures the concession area remains clean, stocked, and orderly;

· Facilitates closing inventory and cleaning duties;

· Keeps the working environment clean and sweep after the show begins;

· Performs other duties as required after each selling period;

· Will help with setup of concession

Mandatory requirements

A Valid RSA Certificate

A Valid Food Handlers Certificate

The ideal candidate will:

Previous experience working as a F&B attendant

· Possess the ability to learn ticketing software / EFPOS and retain a high level of complex information;

· Be comfortable working in a loud environment;

· Be calm, motivated, polite and courteous;

· Have a professional, clean appearance with a straight posture.
Note: Employees are responsible for arriving in black shirts, pants and shoes (no logos);

· Be physically able to stand up for long hours and travel up-and- down stairs frequently;

· Understand customer service and hospitality;

· Work well with others;

· Pay attention to the details;

· Working fast and efficiently under pressure;

· Have a welcoming and friendly attitude (smile and proper greetings); Know when to get the help of a supervisor;

· Availability for the whole city duration;

· Speak English Mandatory – other languages are an asset
