JOB DESCRIPTION

The Hotel

Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour is the embodiment of chic style and sophistication. The hotel is perfectly located in Circular Quay, a stone’s throw away from the iconic Sydney Opera House with breathtaking views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Our luxurious 5-star Sydney hotel with apartment-style suites offers business and leisure guest’s luxury accommodation, it also houses HYDE Hacienda Sydney Bar and Q Dining Restaurant, where the love for food and beverage resides. 

 

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for confidently conversing with our guests, explaining the menu and beverage options, assisting with dietary requirements, and up selling where possible. You'll also be a strong team player, working well with other colleagues on the floor and with our kitchen team, to ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive service. Most importantly, you'll have a warm and engaging personality that ensures that Q Dining becomes a neighbourhood favourite. Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring that dockets are written clearly and correctly so the cashier and kitchen can fulfill their duties effectively.
  • Keeping tables and service areas clean and tidy as per procedure manual.
  • Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service.
  • Promptly answer the telephone and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
  • Take responsibility for your designated section and station.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MUST be available Monday and Tuesday.

  • Initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and efficient.
  • Your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
  • The flexibility and reliability to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • The ability to work autonomously, and within a team.
