Role Overview
As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you are the face of our guest experience. You will deliver professional, friendly, and attentive service across our restaurants, bars, and event spaces. You will ensure every guest feels welcome and that their time at The Continental Sorrento is memorable, seamless, and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and seat guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Deliver food and drinks to guests with attention to detail and timing.
Provide product knowledge and recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across service areas.
Assist with setup and pack-down of dining areas and events.
Follow RSA guidelines, venue policies, and safety procedures at all times.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements
Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.
Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not essential.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
A strong work ethic and commitment to guest satisfaction.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.
Mandatory Requirements
Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) – legally required in Victoria to serve alcohol.
Availability & Flexibility – ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Customer Service Skills – strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
Professional Presentation – neat, well-groomed, and venue-appropriate appearance.
Work Ethic & Reliability – punctual, responsible, and committed to delivering quality service.
Highly Desirable Skills
Previous Hospitality or Customer Service Experience – in restaurants, bars, cafes, or events.
Food & Beverage Knowledge – understanding of menus, cocktails, wine service, and food pairings.
Cash Handling & POS Experience – ability to take orders, process payments, and manage tills accurately.
Efficiency Under Pressure – ability to multi-task and stay calm in fast-paced environments.
Teamwork – proven ability to work collaboratively with others to deliver smooth service.
