The Front of House (FOH) Supervisor for our Kirribilli Restaurant plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and leading the FOH team with confidence and professionalism. This role requires a hands-on leader who excels in fast-paced environments and possesses a deep understanding of the hospitality industry's nuances.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership
  • Supervise, train, and motivate FOH staff including hosts, servers, and bartenders
  • Create and manage staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage
  • Lead by example during service, maintaining high morale and performance
• Customer Experience
  • Greet and engage guests with warmth and professionalism
  • Resolve customer concerns swiftly and empathetically
  • Ensure service standards are consistently met or exceeded
• Operational Excellence
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area, bar, and entry points
  • Coordinate with kitchen and management to ensure timely service and smooth communication
• Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, including fire evacuation protocols
  • Monitor RSA compliance and responsible service practices
  • Act as chief fire warden or first aid responder when required
• Administrative Duties
  • Assist with stock monitoring, ordering, and rotation
  • Finalize registers, complete shift reports, and manage cash handling
  • Support venue hire operations and liaise with external clients when needed

Preferred Experience

• Prior supervisory experience in hospitality or events of at least one year
• RSA certification and first aid training
• Familiarity with venue hire operations or event coordination
• Familiarity with POS systems and RSA practices
