Cipri Italian restaurant is an established Italian restaurant located in Paddington, looking for a full time Sous Chef specialising in Italian cuisine.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Kitchen department.

The ideal candidate will:

• Ensures the consistency of all menu items regardless of time of day or period of service
• Day to day effective involvement in food operations
• Liaising with Chefs and kitchen team to ensure smooth delivery of food to guests
• Operation of kitchen equipment to achieve required results
• Work with the Head Chef to advance and improve current food operations
• Have an understanding of stock control and work together with the kitchen team to minimise wastage
• Assist head chef with Menu preparation
• Assisting head chef with staff training when requested
• Be organised and have strong communication skills
• General operation within the Kitchen
• Maintaining a clean & hygienic environment ensuring food safety standards are met
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure

Qualification& Experience

• Years of Experience: minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience with Italian cuisine
• Pasta making experience
• Italian food experience

Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia, have experience in a similar role and must be available to work evenings and weekends.
