JOB DESCRIPTION

The Australian Venue Co. family are looking for a motivated and adaptable Function Coordinator to join our team at Hotel Esplanade to work across our dedicated event spaces. Modern-function facilities and gorgeous waterfront views make these event spaces perfect for any function year-round.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, the successful applicant will be skilled at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, with an innovative and solutions-focused approach to delivering the highest quality events. 

This unique role allows the successful candidate to work Monday to Friday in an administrative position.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a similar function/events-based role is essential.
  • Well-versed in social media use in the context of marketing and the ability to assist in driving social media and digital marketing
  • Experience with relevant software applications (Adobe Photoshop, Word, Excel, Content Management Systems)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to upsell and promote the business
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Achievement and results-driven.
  • High standard of personal presentation and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability in your approach to client satisfaction

REQUIREMENTS

What the role involves:

  • Responding promptly and adequately to all event enquiries
  • Preparing quotations, proposals, event orders and booking agreements
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Active promotion of venue function facilities
  • Liaison with clients in the lead-up to functions, ensuring client satisfaction
  • Assisting in the implementation of marketing and event strategies to maximize functions and events sales revenue
  • Helping to promote function and event spaces through site visits, events, phone and written communication
