Brunswick Mess Hall is a stunning heritage-listed Masonic Hall where all party dreams come true. We offer our guests fun, exciting spaces, great service, incredible functions, whacky events, and innovative concepts for their functions and Weddings.
From the people behind Belles Hot Chicken, NONO, Welcome to Thornbury and 4 Pines Welcome To Brunswick, we are the experts of some of Melbourne’s best neighbourhood hospitality and entertainment.


This is no ordinary function operations job, we are looking for a Functions Duty Manager to join us at the Brunswick Mess Hall - the dream location to host unforgettable weddings, engagements, birthday celebrations, Christmas parties, awards nights, and corporate events. We do it all! What does your day look like? The key responsibilities are:

  • Function & Event Operations – manage & executing the function & event operations from set up through to sequence of service, to pack down
  • Functions Team – lead, train and mentor the function operations team to help execute function
  • Venue Maintenance – giving our venues the tender loving care it needs for each function, including watering plants, organising contractors & cleaners

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

To be considered top-notch status with us, the skills and experience needed are:

  • A minimum 1 years’ experience in function operations, venue duty manager responsibilities etc.
  • Stella time management skills, ability to multitask like a ninja
  • Resilient and able to stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse service team and venue
  • Valid RSA holder
  • Previous experience with Tripleseat & Seven Rooms preferred
