JOB DESCRIPTION

Hotel Grand Chancellor Townsville has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate  Guest Service Agent to join our team on a casual basis. If you thrive on providing excellent customer service, possess a welcoming personality, and are keen to build an exciting career in hospitality, then this is the role for you.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Greet and welcome all guests.
  • Provide information to and assist guests with hotel services
  • Ensure a smooth welcoming check in and an accurate and efficient checkout 
  • Assist with after hours Reservation enquires
  • Balance all transactions at the end of shift ensuring postings have the correct supporting documentation and discrepancies reported
  • Undertaking general clerical & administrative duties
  • Managing difficult situations including customer complaints
  • Adhering to hotel grooming/dress standards 
  • Work across a rotating roster: early morning, late evening, weekends etc.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess previous front office or reception experience within a hospitality environment, strong computer literacy and the ability to deliver superior quality customer service. You can work effectively unsupervised, possess an understanding of cross-selling and problem solving techniques, and have strong administrative and organisational skills. 

Knowledge of Property Management Systems, in particular Opera is highly desirable, along with experience working in a hospitality environment. 


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Front Office

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.
