JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an excellent opportunity for a Head Chef in Tasmania at one of the leading restaurant in Launceston, Bluestone Bar & Kitchen. Authentic lifetyle, lower cost of living and gateway to Tasmania's best hiking, mountain biking and fishing. Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of proven experience as Head Chef
  • Plan & create menus and weekly specials
  • Taking responsibility for the food production with a hands-on approach
  • Building positive relationships with staff
  • Adhering to all relevant health and safety & food safety standards
  • Identify, develop and maintain establishment policies and procedures
  • Impart knowledge, skills and training to all kitchen staff
  • Keep food & labour costs to establishment requirements
  • Join and be an active part of the management meeting
