Are you passionate about crafting the perfect woodfired pizza and leading a talented kitchen team? Rhonda's, a Terrigal institution renowned for its award-winning dining experience, is seeking an experienced Pizzaiolo to join and lead our team.
**Role Overview:**
As the Pizzaiolo / Head Chef at Rhonda's, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our reputation as the leader of woodfired pizza on the Central Coast. Your responsibilities will include ensuring consistency and product quality in the woodfired pizza section, as well as leading the permanent pasta/larder teams, providing guidance to other casual kitchen hands whilst preserving our vibrant and positive kitchen culture.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead a well-established permanent team of 2 chefs and casual cooks, maintaining excellence in all aspects.
- Provide guidance to BOH staff, maintaining the current efficiencies we have.
- Lead by example, foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Uphold our high standards of pizza prep, cooking techniques and cleanliness
- Manage weekly ordering - replenishing our existing weekly par sheets. Easy.
- Utilise your creativity to innovate and introduce new, exciting monthly specials.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as an Italian Pizzaiolo / Head Chef, or similar leadership role.
- A passion for woodfired pizza and dough preparations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
- A passion for culinary excellence and innovation.
- Food safety supervisor qualifications or equivalent.
