JOB DESCRIPTION

The menu at Pappy's Bar is diner styled food burgers, tacos, fried food and salads. There are both vegan and vegetarian options. The busy periods are 12-2pm with a 3 hour break for prep before dinner rush. We are closed Sunday Mondays.

Job Description:

  • Overall Responsibility for the kitchen's Daily operations.
  • Managing kitchen stock and ordering
  • Supervise kitchen staff and any issues that arise.
  • Monitoring and controlling stock levels.
  • Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed
  • Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen.
  • Liaising with relevant food companies for ordering.
  • Managing and working closely with other chefs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines/being responsible for health and safety and food hygiene practices.

 

General Skills to possess:

  • Positive and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work unsupervised. 

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Food and Safety Supervisor Certificate (not a requirement, can provide through venue)
  • Availablity Tuesday 11-9pm and Saturday 5-9pm (somewhat flexible) 
  • Non restrictive work visa (if applicable)
