Outline of the role

Come and work in our beautiful ‘Rivers Cafe’ on a 4 month long traineeship. The role is 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 2:30pm. You will learn all areas of the cafe, grow in confidence and gain skills in the hospitality industry.

Main Duties

• Be warm, friendly and customer focused. But we don't expect perfection.
• Contribute to a good Workplace Health & Safety culture, where possible offering new ideas and improvements. We are all in this together.
• Contribute to a positive work environment. Unity is built out of communication, honesty, trust and integrity. Teamwork makes the dream work.
• Carry out all Cafe / Hospitality duties as directed by your supervisor.

Selection Criteria

1. Haven't been working in the last 6 months or if you have under 15 hours per week.
2. Not participated in a Skilling Queenslanders for Work project before
3. Understand that it is part of our responsibility to help you look for work and find a job after this traineeship.

Remuneration

This role is a Certificate I Retail traineeship. Traineeship wages apply. The hourly rate is dependent on your years out of school. Go to Fair Work for more information. National Training Wage Table A.
