JOB DESCRIPTION

The Albatross Bay Resort is looking for experienced Duty Managers, Assistant Hotel Managers and Qualified Chefs to join the team in Weipa!

The Albatross Bay Resort, lovingly known as the Alby, is situated in the heart of Weipa and offers a dining and bar experience surrounded by the natural beauty of the area, not to mention a menu showcasing locally sourced ingredients and fresh seafood. At The Alby, we're all about community and offering a destination for the entire family to relax and create lasting memories.

REQUIREMENTS

To Be a Successful Manager Candidate:

  • Confident hands-on Manager with a proven track record in Duty Management and Assistant Management roles
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry
  • Experience in a high-volume food, bar, function, gaming and retail environment.
  • Current RSA, RSG and RMLV
  • Ability to manage conflict, remain calm under pressure and work unsupervised
  • Strong leadership, training and motivational skills.

To Be a Successful Qualfied Chef Candidate:

  • Have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher (or equivalent)
  • Be able to work in a team or as an individual (unsupervised)
  • Experience in high volume food and fast paced environments
