About the Venue

Our beautiful water front venue sits over the waters in Rose Bay and our Seaplanes fly customers daily from the backdoor.
Empire Lounge has split indoor and outdoor dining areas seating 100+, we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to locals and visitors alike and open Wednesday to Sunday. 

Job Title: Hostess at Empire Lounge (Waterfront Venue)

Empire Lounge is seeking a friendly, outgoing, and organized Hostess to join our team. Our waterfront venue is known for its exceptional food, drinks, and service. As a Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring they have a fantastic experience from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and escort them to their table
• Answer phone calls and manage reservations
• Manage the waitlist during busy periods and provide accurate wait times to guests
• Collaborate with servers and bartenders to ensure seamless service
• Keep the host stand organized and clean
• Provide guests with information about the menu and specials
• Assist with taking and managing to-go orders

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar role preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Knowledge of NowBookIt or similar reservation software is a plus
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
