JOB DESCRIPTION

Margaret Family, Double Bay is looking for friendly, professional, and well-presented Hosts to join our front-of-house team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside renowned chef Neil Perry AM.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years' experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Warm, confident, and polished presentation
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine, guest-first attitude
  • Ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced setting
  • Comfortable using reservation systems and managing guest flow

As a Host, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in setting the tone for their experience. You’ll work closely with the reservations and service teams to ensure everything runs smoothly from the moment guests arrive.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Greeting guests and managing reservations and walk-ins
  • Estimating and communicating wait times clearly
  • Escorting guests to their tables and ensuring a seamless handover to the floor team
  • Answering phones, maintaining reservation notes, and supporting service as needed
  • Helping to maintain presentation and cleanliness in all front-of-house areas

Eligibility:

Applicants must have full working rights in Australia.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
