If you'd like to embrace a wider world of experiences and opportunities, we'd like to welcome you to the world's most international luxury hotel brand as a Housekeeping Supervisor, a key role in our Rooms Division Team supporting the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper in managing the day to day of the Housekeeping operation and team. A role that will expose you to a resort environment, and a wide range of rewarding challenges and high end clientele working across a mix of business, leisure and corporate markets.
Your day to day
You will work with the Assistant Executive Housekeeping Manager, Laundry Manager and other Supervisors to support a team of approximately 50 including Coordinators, Housepersons, Linen Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Laundry Attendants and Room Attendants to co-ordinate the day to day Housekeeping operation in order to achieve set financial, people and guest experience targets. With a focus on enhancing the guest journey, you will focus on our expansive Public Areas, the rooms and laundry facets of the department, you will also be a key driver of creating a culture where the InterContinental Life is at the core of all offerings and service across the resort.
You will be assisting with daily allocations of duties across the team, inspection of guest rooms and public areas, supporting the team operationally and maintaining high standards of resort cleanliness and productivity. You will also be proactive in implementing new ways of working that will drive productivity and work in partnership with other areas of the resort to continuously drive and identify guest experience enhancement opportunities. It will be critical that you support the senior leaders within the team to develop the team to create a positive and productive work environment; building, motivating and up-skilling them to ensure they are highly engaged and deliver results.
This role will rotate though the various areas within the housekeeping department, including Rooms, Public Areas and Laundry.
What we need from you
We are seeking candidates with relavant experience in a cleaning capacity or as a supervisor or team leader in a housekeeping environment with proven ability to support the day to day operation of the housekeeping department, improve guest satisfaction and maintain an awareness of productivity and efficiency. On the job and Ongoing Training will be provided to all candidates.You must also hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia, hold and Australian Drivers's License and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required to support the resorts operations.
Previous exposure to a remote island environment would be a plus. However if you’re an organised and confident housekeeping professional who wants to utilise their strong technical skills and leadership capability, this new, diverse and challenging environment will also be for you.
