The Athenaeum Club, one of Melbourne's most prestigious establishments, is seeking a casual Housekeeping Steward to join our team.

You will be responsible for servicing the member areas ensuring they are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. You will ensure the staff room, members gym and other back of house areas are clean on a daily basis.  You will also assist in the laundry by sorting towels for washing, drying and folding and sorting bed linen and restaurant linen for collection by the laundry service.  Servicing the accommodation rooms and delivering exceptionally clean rooms is also required on occasion.  

The successful candidate will

• Have excellent organisational and time management skills
• Have the ability to work flexible hours
• Work well in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
• Be flexible and able to take direction in an changing environment
• Perform all duties with a keen eye for detail, accuracy and speed
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be in good health and physically fit to meet the needs of the role

This is a Monday - Friday role, with early starts, soetimes as early as 6am.  There may be an occasional weekend shift depending on varying business levels. Good availability will be required.  We are offering approx 20 - 25 hours per week, sometimes more to cover leave.

Previous experience in housekeeping in a 4 - 5 star hotel or club is desired.
