JOB DESCRIPTION

Create vibrant pan-asian inspired cuisine with our incredible team and enjoy one of Sydney's best views!

Nestled beneath the Opera House sails, House Canteen is an all-day hawker-style venue with show stopping views of Sydney Harbour. We are the ideal stop for those on the run, as well as the perfect place to see Sydney’s iconic landmarks, offering a vibrant pan-asian flavour led journey to our patrons.
  
Open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner the venue starts early in the morning, with a steady stream of patrons grabbing fresh pastries and freshly brewed coffee to enjoy whilst admiring the view.  At lunch it is the perfect place to catch up with friends, with an array of flavoursome Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese inspired dishes as well as quick grab and go options for those on the run.
  
In the evening, the venue is a hive of activity, with pre & post theatre patrons, tourists, corporates and friends, enjoying sensational cocktails overlooking Sydney’s sparkling skyline.

REQUIREMENTS

The Role

As Junior Sous, you will work across a number of sections in our fast, well organised kitchen.  Whether you are a master of the grill, or quick and steady on larder section, we have something for everyone.  

The role will have you hands on in ordering, stocktake, training junior chefs and ensuring quality across our incredible kitchen. This is a great opportunity to excel your Kitchen Management career and learn from some of the best.

Working in a large and spacious kitchen, with a supportive and highly experienced Head Chef at the helm, the kitchen runs like clockwork and is well organised. 

Our work culture embraces work life balance and the team are passionate, friendly and work cohesively as a team. Located right next to Circular Quay train station, with ferries at your door step – getting here is a breeze! 
  
Having worked in some of Sydney’s most bustling restaurants and pubs as a Senior CDP or Junior Sous Chef , you will be well equipped to join our incredible team.
