JOB DESCRIPTION

Merlo Coffee began 30 years ago with a simple philosophy – freshly roasted specialty coffee served by people who are passionate about coffee. 

Today, Merlo is proud to be one of Australia’s leading independently owned and operated coffee roasters, who supply the public, our own Merlo Coffee stores and 1,700 cafes and restaurants with freshly roasted coffee around the country every day.

We are seeking talented and dedicated Café All Rounders. This exciting opportunity is ideal for those looking to expand and grow their knowledge in the coffee industry and who are passionate about customer service. 
 

We are seeking talented and dedicated kitchen assistants who are passionate about people, quality food and great coffee to join our team at one of our following locations: 

  • Merlo on Carmody, St Lucia

Catering Coordinator
Kitchen Hand

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About you

  • Minimum 1 year experience in food preparation including preparation of cabinet items
  • Kitchen organisation: manage the workflow and meet preparation targets, complete food safety checklists and other OH&S procedures, order stock and food items for the store
  • A fun, hardworking and energetic attitude towards work 
  • Food safety and hygiene knowledge
  • Fast hands and an ability to work autonomously
  • A demonstrated understanding of the Merlo workplace culture
