Virginia Golf Club is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our dedicated hospitality team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting our kitchen operations, assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all health and safety standards are upheld.

This casual position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment or currently studying. Weekday (M-Fri) Adult pay rate is $32.30 p/h, Sat$38.78 p/hr, Sun $45.24 p/h. Junior rates of pay may apply depending on successful candidate

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist chefs with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to a high standard
• Help with receiving and correctly storing food deliveries and supplies
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety and hygiene procedures
• Support the team during busy service periods and perform other duties as directed by the Head Chef

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
• Availability to work weekdays and weekends
