The Glen is an award-winning Hotel consisting of Charles Baker coffee shop, The Deck Bistro, Alphonsus Pizzeria, Lily's full service Restaurant, gaming, conference rooms and a Marquee.

Alongside the main Hotel, we have 4.5-star hotel rooms and suites - we are an all encompassing venue providing drinks, food, party areas, conference rooms and beds.

The Glen is an independent venue, owned by the same family for 60 years.  We are an essential part of our local community.  

An exciting opportunity exists to join our team; we are seeking a hard working Dishie/Kitchen Attendant

Clean Kitchen

You will be responsible for maintaining the order and cleanliness of the kitchen’s facilities up to government and company sanitation standards. You will clean all kitchen surfaces, mop and sweep kitchen floors, put away dishes, pots and pans, organize food, clean out freezers, and remove trash.

Wash Dishes

Equally important, The you'll ensure that all dishes are adequately sanitized by maintaining required water temperature and chemical levels. They may wash dishes by hand or also use a dish water depending on company procedures. You'll also polish silver, do chemical dips when applicable, and dry and put dishes away.

Assist with Food Preparation

You'll assist line cooks by completing food preparation tasks. This can include everything from organizing the refrigerator and freezer to chopping vegetables, washing fruit, defrosting meat, and preparing sauces and marinades. You may fully prepare dishes that require little to no cooking, such as salads.

Maintain Kitchen

In order to maintain the kitchen, you will make sure that all appliances and cooking equipment are properly used and maintained, and may perform minor repairs if capable. You also take inventory of supplies and food, ensuring that the kitchen always has accurate stock of everything they need.
