JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop your hospitality skills and embrace a unique environment in a part-time Kitchen Hand position, integral to providing support to the catering team at the RAAF Wagga (Wagga). Join the team and receive full training and support while working with a dynamic environment.

The Position:

  • Support the catering team in a unique and busy environment
  • Assist with basic preparation including vegetables and salads
  • Stock control including quality reporting and temperature monitoring
  • Maintain kitchen, food preparation, storage and service areas and equipment to a high standard
  • Strong awareness of hygiene and food safety standards

REQUIREMENTS

The Person:

  • Experience in a commercial kitchen beneficial – although not mandatory, learn on the job
  • Knife handling, food safety and preparation skills are a plus
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Can do attitude and drive to jump into any task required
