Choofas Smokehouse & Seafood in Coolangatta are looking for Full Time & Casual Kitchen Staff to join the team!

Chefs, Cooks, Kitchen Hands & Dishwashers
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We have multiple positions available from casual to full time.
You will be working with a team of committed dedicated people in a busy kitchen. You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of our meals in a timely, consistent, and professional manner.
We can assist in growth and development opportunities for the right candidate who is looking to start a career as a Cook or Chef.
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Ordering and management of stock.
Monitoring of portion control and cost of goods in line with company budget.
You will be required to work weekdays, mid-week, and weekend shifts.
Quality control and food hygiene is of the highest priority.
Food safety and cleanliness of all kitchen and food preparation areas.
ABOUT THE BUSINESS:
Located in the heart of Coolangatta, Choofas Smokehouse & Seafood offers a combination of Fresh and Cooked Seafood, American Style BBQ Meats, Wings, Ribs, Steaks, Chicken, Burgers, and Salads.
Choofas Smokehouse specialises in Australian Angus and high marble score Wagyu steaks. We also supply fresh local seafood including live Crab and Cray fish.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Chefs/Cooks:
Experience in a similar role is preferred but full training can be provided.
The ability to remain calm whilst working under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Experience with chargrilled steaks and seafood is essential.
Excellent personal presentation and hygiene standards.
