About the role

As a Kitchen Steward you play an integral role in ensuring our guests have a seamless and memorable stay. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Cleaning chinaware, flatware, silverware, glassware, kitchen utensils and kitchen equipment. 
• Deep cleaning of all allocated machinery, furniture (fridges, benches etc) and equipment as scheduled.
• Ensure dishwashing areas are organised, clean and tidy, and that the dishwashing machine is cleaned and maintained in good working order. 
• When required, follows the correct procedures for the burnishing of silverware and cleaning of copperware.
• Set up functions, conferences and banquets as required throughout the resort.
• Transportation of all equipment, furniture, utensils and food and beverages as required. 
• Remove all garbage to refrigerated rubbish dump areas.

About you

We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team players who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations. Successful candidates will have the following:

• Organisational skills – you will be able to prioritise and meet deadlines to ensure that all tasks are completed as required.
• Strength - sometimes you’ll need to lift, push, and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling.
• Experience - ideally, you’ll have spent at least one year in a similar role in a resort style venue.
