Born near the beaches in San Diego, California, comes an energetic “Modern Mexican” for everyone! In 2013, California Tacos launched its Baja Inspired Restaurant in Burleigh Heads. Since then California Tacos has won numerous Restaurant Awards in QLD. In 2019 California Tacos opened their second restaurant in Caloundra. In 2022 California Tacos opened their third restaurant in Townsville. California Tacos is now opening its fourth restaurant in Broadbeach come December 2022. 

We are hiring all Kitchen positions now and will be training at our Burleigh Heads restaurant leading up to our December 1st Grand Opening date!

Kitchen Manager (Salary Position)

• Leading a team of cooks and kitchen hands 
• Managing daily prep and ordering 
• Cooking of orders in a timely manner
• Ensuring quality of ingredients and correct food storage
• Strong focus on teamwork and collaboration across multiple departments within our brand
• Driven positive and proactive nature
• Creating weekly rosters

Cooks (Casual Position)

• Responsible for preparing food items and menu items in accordance with company standards 
• Preparing ingredients to use in cooking
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

Kitchen Hand (Casual Position)

• Preparing ingredients to use in cooking
• Cleaning dishes
• Cleaning all areas of the restaurant

Your Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong focus on teamwork and collaboration across multiple departments within our brand
• Motivated, self-disciplined with a strong work ethic
• Driven, positive and proactive nature.
• Availability to work full time hours onsite, with some flexibility to work weekends during peak promotional periods
