JOB DESCRIPTION

CACAO Chocolates and Macarons are producers of fine chocolates and macarons. From the time we launched in 2003 our goal has been simple – to create beautiful, handcrafted chocolates, macarons and pastries.
We source natural ingredients of the highest quality, locally and abroad, that offer the very best in flavour. Being respectful of the origin and integrity of where and how these ingredients are produced remains a passionate focus for us.
We are proudly Australian owned and operated. Our office is located in Cheltenham, near to DFO Moorabbin. 
As our customer base continues to grow, we are recruiting the services of a Pastry Chef for our Macaron department.

There are times where you may be asked to get involved in making desserts for a special event as well.


RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Executive Chef
Head Chef
Pastry Chef

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

What we will require from you:

  • Cert 3 or 4 in Patisserie
  • Ideally 3 years pastry experience.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Experience working in a production kitchen.
  •  Self-Motivated, Well-Organised, Enthusiastic and Passionate abou their work.
  • Attention to detail - the products that we provide to our customers has to be prepared, assembled and packed to perfection. 
  • Must be reliable.
  • A willingness to learn, help and support team members.
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with little to no supervision. 
  • Fluent in English.
