About the role

Our team are driven and focused in delivering high quality baked products. Your role will be as a Cake Decorator working alongside our Head Cake Decorator who has been with us for 3+ years. You will make cakes, cupcakes, decorate/finish products, and create new designs & styles. You will also get to work on wedding cakes. Other tasks include baking, finishing, storage, making buttercreams, preparing icings, stocktaking, and maintaining a high standard of quality control. 

Hours

Nominally 5am start time (some days 4am), Monday to Friday.

Finish at 8/9am on a friday (shorter shift)

Must have own vehicle, and able to start at 4:30 am Monday to thursday, and 4 am on friday.

Skills and experience

• Qualified Pastry chef 
• Experience decorating cakes in a pastry chef role or a similar position is preferred
• Fluency in working with a pallet knife, edge scraper, and other cake decorating tools.
• Experience piping with various nozzles on cakes and cupcakes.
• Experience in making and decorating with butter creams.
• You will have a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisation skills.
• You possess an interest in food and a passion for baking and/or cake decoration.
• You are excited about the baking scene and cake decorating space and want to keep up with trends and be innovative.
• You have the ability to work both autonomously or in a team environment.

Further training will be provided to familiarise with our cake menu.
