Le Bon Choix are currently seeking for Qualified Bakers to join our professional team, as we have recently expanded into newer stores. We are a forever growing company with 8 stores, we just moved into BRAND NEW state of the art factory, including all new equipment and facilities.
As we are expanding our stores and wholesale customers across south east Queensland, there are opportunities available for the
right person.

To be successful in your application as a skilled baker, you must have the following attributes:
● Experience with artisan bread products, French baking techniques and operating deck over (at least 40 loaves/hour);
● Be able to efficiently and preciously prepare the bread dough, knead, ferment and hand mould while minimising wastage and meeting the high standards of the company;
● Have experience with large production numbers and strong dedication to the job;
● Be able to adapt in a fast-paced work environment and can work as part of a team;
● Be able to work under time restrictions, pressure and unsupervised;
● Understand quality and importance of consistency of work;
● Be able to produce products from scratch recipes (no premixes used in our kitchens) and calculate’s and dough ration weights;
● Be able to decorate baked products, from pastries to cakes;
● Be familiar with standard baking times and appearances of products during the baking stage, and determining appropriate temperatures and times required for baking different items;
● Be able to check the quality of all raw materials;

● Monitoring equipment and ovens to ensure quality of production;
● Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards for the equipment and work premises;
● May be required for evening and weekends.

● Work will be based in a specially designed commercial kitchen based in Northside, Brisbane.
● The ideal candidate must have suitable qualifications, and had minumum 3-years post-apprenticeship experience, with a proven track record of performance that can be verified.
● This is a full-time position and requires a good deal of dedication. This position is not open for patisserie students or apprentices, or those looking to start out in the industry. It is strictly for a skilled baker who is looking to advance their career, increase their skills, and who has the ability to not only manage a kitchen, but who has the mindset to actually physically work themselves and be a part of the team.
