JOB DESCRIPTION

Reservations and Events Manager – The Woollahra Hotel. Bistro Moncur and Moncur Cellars

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Reservations and Events Manager to join our team at Bistro Moncur and The Woollahra Hotel.

Our ideal candidate will have worked in a similar fine dining restaurant and events centric venue with a high volume of enquiries and conversion rates. They will require a demonstrated ability to communicate, to manage and maximise the reservations and sittings of the entire venue, and to plan and execute bespoke events and functions for our customer base.

This role also includes elements of business development as we aim to position ourselves as a cornerstone hospitality venue for the community to enjoy. Working alongside our GM, Bistro Moncur Restaurant Manager and Marketing Manager, the candidate will require a natural ability to communicate and endorse our three businesses as we embark on growing our client base and to realise new opportunities.

We are seeking a genuine and considerate personality with a real desire for customer excellence and a positive attitude as the keys to success for this position.

The Role:

  • Front line communication for the business via the telephone, email and face to face
  • Reservations management from end to end using Now Book It
  • Managing all online enquiries for both Bistro Moncur, Woollahra Hotel and Moncur Cellars
  • Event organisation and execution dealing directly with clients, Hotel Management, and broader team

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Call Centre Operator

REQUIREMENTS

About you:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Warm and outgoing personality
  • Min 5 years’ experience working in a similar multi-faceted business
  • A thorough understanding of restaurant operations
  • An ability to think outside the square, problem solve and innovate
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of reservations and CRM software
  • Flexibility to ensure presence for high profile events in the evenings
  • Australian residency
