ABOUT WHERE WE WORK

Located just outside the CBD in Port Melbourne, The Railway Club Hotel has remained one of the busiest dining rooms in Melbourne for over 40 years. Its atmosphere and ambience has stood the test of time. Our busy traditional bar and restaurant is now complemented by our newly refurbished upstairs dining rooms that also cater for a variety of private dining needs.

REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS

If you have experience, we definitely want to meet you. If you don’t but are keen to learn, we’d love to meet you as well.  An outgoing, friendly and “can-do” attitude are the only prerequisites. In-house training, guidance and development will be provided by our established management team.

As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for:

·       Day-to-day running of the venue including lunch and dinner service

·       Staff internal training

·       Sustaining high levels of service and consistency

·       Booking management.

·       Working closely with the General Manager to identify improvements throughout the business

·       Supporting a strong relationship between both the management and FOH/BOH team to ensure consistency and future growth

      Skills

·       Hands-on approach with a ‘lead from the front’ attitude

·       Broad experience with food and beverage styles

·       Experience in the H&L system

·       Impeccable cash control

·       Clear communication skills both verbal and written

·       Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

·       Good presentation

.       Thrive in a fast-paced and fun environment 

.       Have a current RSA.

.       Desire to provide an exceptional guest experience.

.       Ability to follow directions and support team goals

.       A passion to improve your skills & embrace learning
