Opportunity
Host
As a Host/Hostess, you are the first and last impression of our restaurant. Your warm welcome, attention to detail, and ability to manage the flow of the dining room help ensure an outstanding guest experience. Key Responsibilities:
Greet all guests warmly and professionally as they enter the restaurant
Manage reservations and walk-ins using a table management system
Maintain an accurate waitlist and provide guests with realistic wait times
Coordinate with servers and managers to seat guests efficiently and evenly
Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries, take reservations, and provide information about the menu and services
Keep the entrance area clean, organized, and welcoming
Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and with a problem-solving mindset
Support the flow of service and assist with other front-of-house duties as needed
Wait Staff
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing exceptional customer service from the initial greeting of a customer to close out of their bill. They must meet all reasonable requests of the customer acting as the primary contact for the customer's dining experience. The Waiter/Waitress has a direct reporting line to the Venue Manager. During shifts, the Waiter/Waitress is also accountable to the Floor Supervisor.
Key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Greet and escort customers to their tables, providing excellent customer service to guests
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses and maintain a tidy dining area for customers
Inform customers about the day’s specials
Offer menu recommendations upon request
Up-sell additional products when appropriate
Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization
Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
Serve food and drink orders
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
Follow all relevant health department regulations
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
Successful candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and environment, coupled with the following skills and attributes:

Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer-facing role preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional appearance and a positive, upbeat attitude
Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Wait Staff
Proven work experience as a Waiter/Waitress
Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system POS
Basic math skills
Attentiveness and patience for customers
Excellent presentation skills
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Active listening and effective communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
