Senior Assistant Venue Manager - Brisbane CBD - Kickon Group

Start: ASAP Where: Fortitude Valley, QLD Type: Full time Pay: $80,000 – $85,000 per year

Join one of Australia’s most dynamic hospitality groups and take the next step in your leadership career. We’re looking for a driven and experienced Senior Assistant Venue Manager to support the Venue Manager in overseeing operations at some of our flagship CBD venues.

About the Role

As Senior AVM, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving operational and financial performance. You’ll lead from the front, inspiring your team across the floor, bar, and kitchen, while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Venue Manager in all aspects of operations, including financial performance, labour management, and compliance.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a passionate team, fostering a culture of excellence and connecting people through amazing hospitality.

  • Oversee service standards, floor operations, and guest experience to ensure a premium hospitality offering.

  • Manage rostering, wage costs, and budgets in line with venue targets.

  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.

  • Drive events, activations, and promotions to maximize revenue opportunities.

  • Uphold WH&S, RSA, and compliance requirements at all times.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 6 months previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About You

  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role within a high-volume hospitality venue (pub, bar, or restaurant).

  • Strong financial and operational experience, with proven ability to hit labour and revenue targets.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

  • Customer-first mindset, with a focus on delivering memorable experiences.

  • A passion for hospitality, adaptability under pressure, and a solutions-focused attitude.

  • Current RSA, RSG (preferred), and sound knowledge of licensing and compliance.
