Middle Park Hotel is on the hunt for Senior CDP's and Sous chefs to join the team!
Located Steps away from The most famous race track in Australia, Albert Park. Naturally this means we throw one of the best Formula one race day parties known to Melbourne! Also situated minutes from the beach, the Middle Park Hotel boasts a decadent dinning room serving a seasonal menu, from grass-fed beef to plant-based burgers and the all-new hanging kebabs, our restaurant menu offers delicious pub-style dishes that hero the very best Victorian produce.
As a Sous Chef, your role will involve:
Assist in the running of the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
Developing other team members skills in the kitchen
Working along side the Head Chef and Venue Manager to ensure quality and standards are constantly met
Understanding of labour costs and how to control an effective roster on a daily basis
Controlling stock, ordering and checking of deliveries
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a leadership Chef role
Confident in running all sections of the kitchen
Ability to lead a team
Ability to ensure all policies, procedures and standards are current, effective, and clearly communicated
Maintain a high level of standard while cooking in a fast paced environment
Administration experiance including stocktakes, rosters, lodging invoices and ordering
Multi-task effectively and ensure all deadlines are met with suppliers as well as assist the Head Chef and Venue Manager
