Sous Chef wanted!!

Situated on Little Bourke Street, close to Parliament and The Princess Theatre, Daughter In Law is a lively 90 seater serving unauthentic Indian/ Australian food with an extensive wine and cocktail list.

With a strong, fun and respectful team already in place, we are looking for a sous chef who can lead the team in the absence of the head chef, collaborate with menu development, manage system implementation and maintain consistency in the output of a busy kitchen.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role as either a sous chef or a strong CDP looking to take the next step, a solid understanding of flavour and technique, a calm and pleasant demeanour (no ‘old school’ shouty chefs please), and a professional attitude.

Prior experience with Indian cuisine is not at all essential, although an appreciation for a wide range of spices and their applications would be hugely beneficial.
