I am over 18Libertine Restaurant & Bar is a French-Vietnamese infusion restaurant located in the The Barracks Shopping Centre near Caxton Street is seeking for a sous chef to join our team! Our ethos is shared dining with a focus on local produce that is of the highest quality.
This is a hands-on role and applicants will need to possess proven leadership qualities and the ability to perform under pressure.
The primary tasks of Libertine's Sous Chef include but are not limited to:
- Menu design and associated costings
- Staff Training and Development
- Highest standard of food safety practises
- Staff recruitment and termination
- Rostering
- Liaising with FOH Managers and Operations Manager/Owner
- Generating of offers, ideas and concepts
- Meeting with potential suppliers

Skills Libertine’s Sous Chef must have:
- Asian style cooking experience
- Strong leadership
- Has the confidence to suggest ideas/improvements without arrogance
- Keeps calm in all situations
- Trade Qualification
- Food Safety Certificate
- Finds solutions to problems swiftly
- Able to maintain a healthy work environment for all employees.
- Available to work a flexible roster
