SOUS CHEF REQUIRED - PJ O'BRIEN'S IRISH PUB We are a busy Irish pub & restaurant in Sydney's CBD Looking for a strong CDP to step up into a Sous role. 

• Full time position (Initially casual rates, then Salary) + Super

Kitchen opening hours: 12pm - 9:30pm Monday - Friday, 1pm - 9:30pm Saturday & Sunday

About the role:

• Leading the kitchen in the absence of the head chef and organising the team under your supervision
• Planning menus, controlling food and labour costs, and ordering supplies. 
• Controlling the kitchen from a financial and quality driven perspective
• placing orders using our stock systems to ensure correct stock levels are maintained
• Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team with helping to ensure that the highest quality plates in both design and taste are served to our guests. 
• Assisting the head chef with the scheduling, development and recruiting of staff
• You will use your skills to help with the  development and progression of the team by listening, coaching, and providing feedback

We require:

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• experience in a fast paced kitchen and being comfortable in a busy enviornment
• weekend availability (not every weekend as roster will rotate)
• a valid visa with minimum 6 months remaining
