JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you ready to play? Join our team as Sous Chef at The Gibson, opening soon in Stafford.

The Sous Chef reports to The Gibson’s Head Chef and is responsible for supporting the kitchen team. You will have a well-rounded understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients and styles of cookery. You will have a background of managing a small but busy team where, you have displayed leadership and creativity.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your previous experience to the test.

A few of your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in all food preparation and collaborates with the Head Chef
  • Assisting in the design of food specials, assist with menu planning, daily food specials and offers
  • Producing high quality grills, plated meals, including design and taste
  • Ensuring that all food is to a safe, quality standard at all time

  • Focuses on needs of The Gibson and target customers
  • Adapts to the Team and assists in building a positive Team spirit 

RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Sous chef

Please note: You should have a minimum 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Possession of relevant trade qualification
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role within commercial catering with responsibility for staff supervision
  • Outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills
