The QCC Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at our new venture with the QCC group.  We are a large part of all the major sporting events within Brisbane for decades. This is a startup role where you can make the kitchen and menu your own, whilst being well supported by the Groups Executive Chef.  This position has great potential to develop into a senior role within our organisation if you are looking for further growth. Leading to Head chef for the right candidate.  As a full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the daily culinary operations, from menu development to kitchen management. This is a pivotal position that will play a crucial part in enhancing the dining experience for our guests and visitors.

What you'll be doing

• Develop with Group Executive Chef, innovative menus that showcase your culinary expertise 

• Support and mentor a small team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and service

• Monitor food costs, inventory, and kitchen operations to maintain efficiency and profitability

• Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for menu enhancements and special events

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the kitchen

• Foster a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment in the kitchen

• deliver great service within high sporting events all across Brisbane.

• Posses a comercial cookery certificate
• Food handling certificate
• Full working rights in Australia (not suitable for Student Visa's)
